Wednesday 9th February 2022 - Not As Good and Poppyland Community Radio

The custard tarts, purchased from Tesco’s on Saturday, were a disappointment. The first tray of two had a definite clove flavour and the custard was sloppy in the middle. The second tray was better, with no cloves and a better consistency so must have been from a different batch, but not as good as when we bought them in the past. You can guess from commenting about custard tarts that, I don’t have a lot to say today!

We now have a local radio station, Poppyland Community Radio, covering a number of villages in the locality. I understand it was originally set up by some Northrepps residents, during the lockdowns. The studio is now located in The Belfry Centre for Music and Arts and still in its infancy. Anyone interested in suggesting a programme or presenting one can apply via their website. You can also request a track, from what looks to be a fairly extensive catalogue of music. It’s quite easy to listen to the current broadcast, via a link at the top of their website. With alI the details are on the website, I won’t say anymore, apart from wishing all those involved good luck with this new venture.

Today’s photo was taken exactly a year ago as we walked along Pauls Lane in the snow. I’m keeping my fingers crossed we don’t get any ‘white stuff’ this winter.
