I am a bit further on, with my recipe plog for Youtube, than I anticipated.  This is mainly down to a damp day, keeping me indoors, when I made a fair bit of progress and then later, I added some background music.  The next step will be to export the file and run it through with Peter, to check and see if any corrections/changes need to be made.  After a fair bit of consideration, I think I will cut the stepping stones into the grass.  At the moment, the garden is all about clearing leaves and generally checking it over, ahead of winter.  The dwarf tete a tete daffodils are already pushing their foliage up from the soil.  Surely this is way too early, leaving me to wonder, if we get a cold snap, could this result in damage to the tips.

On Tuesday morning, I walked along to the Armistice Day service conducted around the War Memorial at St Martins Church.  Pupils from Mrs Duke’s class at the Belfry School were in attendance as well as parents and villagers.  A selection of the children took it in turns to read a poem, with a war theme.  Unfortunately, with the church situated adjacent to the road, the noise from passing vehicles made it difficult to hear all the poem.  There is not a lot that could be done about this but Tim Bennett has arranged with Mrs Duke for copies of the poem to be left in the church.

The following morning, I collected some of the Poppy Appeal collecting tins and remaining poppies etc.  The new all paper poppies are not popular.  Since their introduction, I’ve not received one positive comment about them, only criticism.  I will be feeding back, to both my relation assistant at The Royal British Legion and the Norfolk’s Poppy Appeal Manager, the comments and general feelings about the paper poppies.  In the afternoon, I spent a relaxing time with members of our ExWI group, in the lounge at the Sea Marge.  We discussed various topics, (some quite controversial!) plus we booked a table in December for our Christmas lunch.

I took today’s photo on Tuesday, when a low tide coincided with our morning walk.  It shows concrete blocks, stacked on the promenade.  These blocks have nodules on the top and look a bit like giant Lego!  Originally, they were stored at the east end, where the contractor’s compound is located.  We have not been down since then but in the afternoons, we have seen activity on the promenade and it looks as though the blocks are now being stacked in front of the area of cliff that has been cleared of knotweed.
