There are times when I wish the weather forecast was not correct, but in the case of the predicted downturn on Sunday, leaving sun and blue skies for grey conditions, it was accurate. The weather has been fantastic for late March, there’s still a chill in the air and most days, a fret out at sea but all in all, no complaints. Yesterday was the first day of spring, bringing with it the continuation of the sunny days we have been enjoying. Our final WI meeting, yesterday afternoon, was not as sad as some of us thought it would be. We thumbed through the scrapbooks, started in 1984; a visual records of trips, events, meetings, celebrations, competitions, speakers etc. and a poignant look back at members who are sadly no longer with us. No complaints about the weather this weekend; it’s been lovely. Although the waves were pretty tame, surfers were out with their boards first thing Saturday morning.
